About Clara’s Art
For Clara, the art of seeing is based on an intuitive recognition of the essential spirit of a place or phenomenon.
The creative process and its inherent surprises, layered textures and colors enables her to explore what can be seen and what needs to be imagined. Many of her monotypes and paintings either; oils, acrylics, or watercolors, are influenced by a personal interaction with nature and by sites that are personally significant.
Dennison is an artist who works from a studio on her farm in Massachusetts, using leaves, blossoms, and other found organic materials to create layered, expressive compositions alive with pattern and color.
Drawing directly from the natural world around her, she transforms quiet textures and everyday forms into contemporary prints that feel both grounded and vibrant.
Her practice is rooted in observation, experimentation, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of her surroundings
